Pathways & Places They Lead
Sometimes they lead to gardens and peace. Sometimes to feelings of isolation and abandonment. Either way we are all on a journey, we hope these paintings encourage you to step out on your path.

I am so please to once again be invited to share my art at Gallery Plus at
78th Street Studio!
Receptions will be the third Thursdays in September and October!
I'd love to see you there! I'll be at there October 20th!

Friendship Roses

Friendship Roses

Oil, 14 x 16

This summer I had the opportunity to open my home to a group of artist friends. They brought me these lovely yellow roses and red carnations.
Everything about this painting is friendship. The crystal vase is from a dear friend and the flowers ( yellow roses, a symbol of friendship)  from the evening with artists. To say the least, the moment the flowers entered the house I was plotting the painting.
This painting causes me to reflect on the many friends that have blessed my life. I am so very grateful for them all. They have encouraged, supported and put up with me.
Thank you

Abandoned Barn and Shusheng

Abandoned Barn  x 12, Oil

I painted Abandoned Barn at the end of the summer with
my dear friend
Shusheng Bai

Shusheng and I had been painting buddies for more than 3 years. These pictures were from the last time I painted with him, before he left for China, as he always did each fall. I am saddened to report while there, Shusheng became ill and passed away. He was a kind and generous man who loved to paint. It was a privilege to be able to learn from him and I will miss him greatly.
May God be with his wife Wai, daughter Evelyn, Tony and Gia.
