Hello,Everyone! I'm back! I know it's been a while since I've posted anything. Enough to say it's been a different kind of winter and early spring. But now I'm back with lots of news and stories  concerning Studio Vincenza. For starters, I sold Sunflower Garden! I have two upcoming shows at the end of the summer. (more about that later)
As well as a story of stolen art... a mystery.
Thanks for checking in, I hope your planting season is going well.

Abandoned Barn and Shusheng

Abandoned Barn  x 12, Oil

I painted Abandoned Barn at the end of the summer with
my dear friend
Shusheng Bai

Shusheng and I had been painting buddies for more than 3 years. These pictures were from the last time I painted with him, before he left for China, as he always did each fall. I am saddened to report while there, Shusheng became ill and passed away. He was a kind and generous man who loved to paint. It was a privilege to be able to learn from him and I will miss him greatly.
May God be with his wife Wai, daughter Evelyn, Tony and Gia.

Painting in the Hood

Afternoon Neighbor

12 x 16, Oil

This year the autumn colors have turned slowly and have stayed. The trees across the street from my home have always intrigued me. This was the year I would paint them. The late afternoon sun was enticing. I only had 2 hours before the light changed and the sun set. I went back a few does later to finish.  I hope you are getting out and enjoying the season.

Studio Vincenza Feature

Shadow on the Drive

8 x 10, Oil

I have exciting news for Studio Vincenza! Grow Forth Magazine did a feature article on my Farm to Canvas project!  Here's the link:

Here's a new painting of the entrance to Spice Acres. I painted this in the afternoon, while the shadows were falling on the drive and the sunlight mingled in the trees.
Thank you for visiting my blog.

Back to the Chicken Coops

Afternoon Coops 8 x 10

Oil / Panel

Still painting at Spice Acres, I just can't get over that farm. So they continue to move the coops around the farm. This might be my favorite place so far. The afternoon light and shadows danced across the grass and created an agrarian picture to paint.
I hope you all are enjoying the autumnal colors!
